My Super Human Power

If you could choose one super power, what would it be and why?

Ever been asked this question?  Have you ever asked this question?  This is a question I recently started asking everybody I get an opportunity to ask lately.

It all started a few weeks ago when somebody asked me this question.  My reply without putting much thought into it was to be able to have super-human speed.  Why not the ability to shoot ice from my hands or the ability to pick up a car?  When I got a chance to reflect on it and explain the WHY portion of the question, I realized that my answer said a lot about my personality.  With one of my biggest gripes being that there is far too much work to do with so little daylight to go around, I think having super-human speed would allow me to get a load of work done in a very short amount of time.

Another interesting fact about myself is that I’m an extreme advocate of efficiency.  It’s so bad that when I’m driving in my car, I feel quite antsy.  Perhaps it’s because I feel that I have no control of my productivity.  Enough with the psychology, the point is that for me…that question revealed an interesting trait in me that I was really never aware of.

With some of the responses I’ve gotten from people I’ve asked, it’s very interesting to hear their responses…especially if I know their personality very well.

Well, just thought I’d share my thoughts on this random topic.  Try it out next time you are networking with another professional and you run out of insightful things to say.

Anybody care to share what they would want their super power would be?
